As an alternative to traditional hotel accommodations, a homestay provides your students with the unique opportunity to get a behind-the-scenes look at a foreign culture by living with a local host family.
Culture Quest arranges homestays in and around major metropolitan areas throughout Western Europe and French Canada. Choose an extended homestay in one location or combine one or more homestays within your educational tour.
A typical homestay program includes scheduled sightseeing and activities during the day, with students returning to their host families in the evening to enjoy dinner and quality time.
Students entering a non-English speaking homestay should have a minimum of two years of foreign language proficiency. Hotel accommodations are available to group leaders who do not wish to reside with host families.
All host homes are inspected for quality, safety and friendliness by our local homestay partners, but students are reminded that the type of housing and meals vary from family to family and country to country.
